Leveraging 3 decades of experience in the automotive inventory Ad Space, Co-Founder Skip Dowd leaned on some learnings from his early days in the automotive photo-guide business with AutoTrader and AutoMart Photo Guides to bring to market a simple but VERY effective Facebook Ad Program.
Dowd stated "In the 1990's we tracked performance of used vehicle inventory ads for 1000's of dealers and without fail the best performing ads has the most vehicles displayed. It is a simple concept but shoppers want selection so when you show them the selection they engage." Dowd adds "The problem with most advertising being done on Facebook in automotive today is that dealers are constrained by the Carousel template which is designed to feature only one product (vehicle). As Facebook users quickly scroll through their feeds they only see one vehicle so the chance that is the vehicle they are interested in is small. "
To solve this problem, MAutoSearch tested multiple versions of creative to display the photos of 12 vehicles per Carousel Card. The result? Consumers who are in the market for a vehicle are stopped in their tracks when they see all the vehicles for sale. When they start swiping left, up to 100 vehicles can be displayed in a single Facebook Ad. When they click on any photo they are instantly linked to the vehicle search results on the dealer website to continue their shopping process. Wow!
